Local Restaurants

When you have finally come in from a day of sun and fun, it's very likely you will be ready to head for the restaurants in Isle of Palms, Wild Dunes and Sullivan's Island to satisfy your hunger for seafood and low-country cuisine.

Although we have found all the restaurants from the tourist hangouts to the finer dining places to be very good, we do have favorites!

Isle of Palms

We always enjoy the food, views and sunsets at the Morgan Creek Grill located in the IOP Marina. Be sure and visit the top deck for after-dinner drinks and watch the sunset over the ICW while listening to music
Go to the Long Island Cafe and enjoy good food from this finer dining restaurant that has been in business in IOP since the '80's
A newcomer and one we like a lot is Huck's. Huck's is located in downtown IOP and was formerly the One-Eyed Parrot
For breakfast and lunch, you must try the Seabiscuit Cafe. Great French toast and omelets
DeRoma's Pizzeria is Pam's favorite pizza and quickly delivers good pizza if you don't want to cook
The Boathouse is a legend in the area and a must-stop if you want nice views, food and drink
Banana Cabana and Coconut Joe's are family-type restaurants and offer good food and fun atmosphere

Sullivan's Island

For a really nice brunch, visit High Thyme or Atlanticville. We seem to stop at High Thyme most often
For burgers, bar food and sports, stop by Dunleavy's Pub, Poe's and Seels on Sullivan's. Seels also has good seafood specials in the evenings

That's a quick menu of restaurants you should visit when you vacation here. Of course, there are many, many great places to eat just a short drive away in Mt. Pleasant and Charleston and you should sample them if you have the time.
